Customizing the Browser Highlighter is easy. You can change settings for an individual tool by following these steps:
- Click on the Browser Highlighter icon in your browser.
- Click the preferences tab.
- Click the tab of the plug-in you want to customize in the Browser Highlighter window that appears.
- Adjust the settings to your preferences.

How can I turn the Browser Highlighter on/off? |

The Browser Highlighter was designed to let you pick and choose the various tools that you think are useful. If you want to turn an individual plug-in in on/off, all you have to do is:
- Click the Browser Highlighter logo in your browser menu.
- Scroll over and click the plug-in you want to toggle on/off.
- Reload/refresh your browser.
If there is a check mark by the name of one of the plug-ins, that means the tool is on. If there is no check mark by the name of a plug-in the tool is off.

How do I remove the Browser Highlighter? |

If you’d only like to remove the Firefox version of the Browser Highlighter, follow these instructions.
- Click the tools menu in your FireFox browser.
- Select the Add-ons menu.
- Click the Extensions tab in the FireFox window that pops up.
- Click on the Browser Highlighter logo in the list of extensions.
- Click the uninstall option.
- Click Uninstall in the prompt.
- Click the restart FireFox button at the top of the Extensions menu.
If you’d only like to remove the Internet Explorer version of the Browser Highlighter, follow these instructions:
- Click the start menu.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Add/Remove programs.
- Select the Browser Highlighter.
- Click the uninstall button and follow prompts.
